Itinerary
Our 4-Day Northern Tanzania Classic Safari kicks off with a scenic drive from Arusha or Moshi to the wildlife-rich Tarangire National Park. Arriving by late morning, you’ll dive straight into an exhilarating game drive through landscapes dominated by ancient baobab trees and the winding Tarangire River.
This park is famous for its massive elephant herds, but that’s just the beginning. Watch for giraffes gracefully moving through the trees, zebras and wildebeest traversing the savannah, and over 500 bird species filling the skies—each moment offering a new surprise.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll make our way to the peaceful town of Karatu, perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay at your selected lodge.

After breakfast, we head north through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands, with possibility of great views of the Great Rift Valley. By midday, we arrive at Naabi Hill Gate—the entrance to the Serengeti. The vast plains stretch endlessly, and the sense of wilderness begins. As we drive deeper, wildlife comes into view: lions in the shade, wildebeest herds on the move, and possibly a cheetah or leopard. We reach camp by sunset, as the sky glows with color. Settle in and let the sounds of the wild surround you.

Today, we venture deep into the soul of the Serengeti—the legendary Seronera region. Known for its lush river valleys and scattered acacia trees, this central area is a haven for wildlife all year round.

Watch for stealthy leopards draped over tree branches, powerful lion prides surveying the plains, and herds of zebras and gazelles grazing across the golden savannah. We’ll pause midday for a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the untamed beauty of Africa. After an exhilarating day of exploration, return to your Serengeti lodge in the late afternoon to unwind, enjoy a delicious dinner, and reflect on the day’s incredible moments.

We depart early, leaving the Serengeti behind as we journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After a scenic drive, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This natural wonder is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife—you may spot black rhinos, hippos wallowing in the water, lion prides on the move, and large herds of buffalo grazing on the crater floor. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool, surrounded by the beauty and stillness of the crater. In the afternoon, we ascend and begin our drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
