7-Day Zanzibar & Southern Tanzania Safari

Connection, Culture & Untamed Beauty

This 7-day adventure blends the serene spice-scented shores of Zanzibar with the raw, untouched wilderness of Southern Tanzania’s Mikumi and Nyerere National Parks. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, cultural immersion, and authentic safari exploration delivered with passion, purpose, and our commitment to value.

Authentic Cultural Encounters

Take time to explore the island. Walk with locals, taste fresh spices, and try Swahili street food at Forodhani Gardens. Every moment is a chance to connect, learn, and feel part of Zanzibar.

Remote Wilderness Exploration

Explore the quiet beauty of Southern Tanzania. Watch elephants roam, cruise past hippos, and sleep under wide open skies. It’s nature at its purest: calm, wild, and unforgettable.

What is unique about this Zanzibar and Southern Tanzania Safari adventure

You begin in Stone Town, winding through its narrow paths with a guide who knows every story behind the walls. At sunset, you taste fresh seafood at Forodhani Gardens as kids dive into the ocean nearby.

Days later, you’re in Nyerere National Park, drifting past hippos on the Rufiji River. Your guide knows the elephant trails and the quiet rhythm of the bush.

By the time you reach Mikumi’s wide plains, watching giraffes in the golden light, something has shifted. It’s not what you’ve seen but it’s how you’ve seen it: slowly, simply, and with people who truly care.

Top 3 Tour Highlights

Sunset Walk and Street Food

In the evening head to Stone Town’s Forodhani Gardens to taste a variety of Swahili street food, from ‘mishkaki’ to Zanzibar pizza and fresh tropical juices. The lively crowd, ocean breeze, and golden sky make it a moment to remember.

Boat Safari on the Rufiji River

Glide along the Rufiji River in Nyerere National Park as hippos surface and elephants drink nearby. With no crowds and golden light all around, this peaceful cruise gives you a front-row seat to the rhythm of wild Africa.

Sunrise at Mikumi National Park

Start your day with a drive through Mikumi’s open savannah, where giraffes, zebras, and lions appear in the soft morning light. It’s a quiet, cool, and unforgettable experience to witness nature waking up, just for you.

Itinerary

We’ll meet you at the airport with a smile and take you straight to your beach hotel. Nothing’s rushed today. Settle in, breathe in the sea air, and watch the sun melt into the ocean. Welcome to Zanzibar.

After breakfast, we head into Stone Town. I’ll guide you through the narrow streets, old doors, spice stalls, and stories that make this place special. Then we take a short boat ride to Prison Island. You’ll meet the giant tortoises, have an opportunity to swim in clear water if you want, and learn a bit of the island’s past. In the evening, we return to Stone Town and head to Forodhani Gardens. The food is fresh, the sea breeze is soft, and the sky glows as the sun goes down.

In the morning, we visit a spice farm. You’ll smell, taste, and touch the spices that made Zanzibar famous.
You are in for a special class about spices. For example, how about learning how nutmeg grows and how to spot real vanilla?. Did you know that cinnamon came from a tree bark?
The afternoon is yours. Swim, read, nap, or sit by the ocean with a book. This is your time to unwind.

Today is yours. You can stay by the beach or try something new. Some guests go snorkeling or take a dhow cruise; others wander into a village or just read all day.
You can do absolutely nothing, and this day may still feel perfect.

We leave the coast and fly into the wild. The landscape changes, and so does the feeling. In the afternoon, we go on a boat safari down the Rufiji River. Hippos grunt in the water, elephants drink at the edge, and the sky turns orange as we float by. Even if you have do this ride many times, it never loses its magic.

We drive through Mikumi’s open plains. Giraffes cross the road, zebras graze by the trees, and if we’re lucky, lions appear in the grass. To maximize your time here, don’t just look for the big animals. Watch the little scenes too: the birds, the light, the silence. It’s all part of the story.

After breakfast, we fly you back. Some guests return to Zanzibar for more beach time, others head home from Dar es Salaam. Either way, you leave with more than photos. You leave with stories, new friends, and a quiet shift inside that only travel like this can bring.
