Overview

Gombe National Park is a small, forested park on the shores of lake Tanganyika in the western part of Tanzania. Gombe is famously known for the chimpanzee research center by Jane Goodall. Gombe is a thin forest that is set in mountainous cut with steep valley around lake Tanganyika. Gombe’s scenery is extremely beautiful with mostly 16 major valley’s that leave swift steams which flows all year round.

The Gombe chimp are one of the most closely studied chimps all year round.

The stream of Gombe are famously known because that’s where jane Goodall’s site for research about the chimpanzees and other primates.

Jane travelled in Tanzania in the year 1960 at the age of 26 with no training at all. It was believed that humans and chimpanzee were similar sharing almost 98% of their generic code though only humans had minds.
