When planning to have your safari in Tanzania also visiting depends on what you want to see whether is the migration , or watching birds and mountain climbing they are all available for you but depends on your choice. The best month to visit Tanzania may be one’s choice but its best months to visit Tanzania are from June to October. Why from June to October? We recommend June to October because they are dry seasons and the grasslands are dry and its easy to spot animals or even lions, cheetahs or leopards hunting’s.

 March to may : one can visit during march to may month but they are rainy seasons and the grasses are long and difficult for one to spot animals and the lands may be slippery due to the rain.

For one to come to Tanzania, travelers must have a valid passport as well as a visa. You can get a tourist visa upon arrival or you can apply for an e-visa before arriving. You can use any of the two ways to get the visa. Before applying for visa you have to make sure that your passport is valid for over 6 months.

It is advised or preferable for one to apply online instead of visa application upon arrival . Why is it preferred to apply online instead of  applying upon arrival.

You won’t have to stand in a long que waiting for your visa but you will just que for a short while at the airport for the stamp.

In order to apply your visa online , you have to go to the official immigration portal for the Tanzanian government.

It is best advice that you should not use an outsource while making an application online but rather use the above  link to make the application.

Though its not much advisable for the application to be upon arrival  but one can also apply at the custom gate at the airport.

Firstly , You fill out an application form after arrival at the airport. ( kindly reminder , please have the hotel and our offices address at hand and at the ready.
Apply at the visa counter

After applying you then go to the next desk and pay for your visa .
Therefore , go and get your visa stamped in your passport

Lastly cause you are done , you are good to go

The cost for visa depends mostly on the country that you are coming from.  But no matter the case , you the cost of visa ranges from 50 USD to 100 USD.

What is the best weather to travel to in Tanzania?

Your health and safety are our top priority! Before traveling, please make sure your routine vaccinations like( Tetanus ,Diphtheria, and Polio) are up to date. We also recommend hepatitis A & B, typhoid, and rabies vaccines.

If you’re arriving from a country with a risk of yellow fever, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.

Regarding COVID-19 , travelers are encouraged to be fully vaccinated for smoother travel and safety. While most entry restrictions have been lifted, it’s important to practice good hygiene, wash hands regularly, and carry a mask for crowded areas.

To stay healthy during your trip, drink bottled water, eat well cooked food, and have travel insurance  that covers medical needs. For personalized health advice, please consult your doctor or travel clinic at least 4- 6 weeks before departure.

To enter Tanzania, travelers must meet the following requirements

  • Passport – a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of entry.
  • Visa – most visitors require a tourist visa to enter Tanzania. You can apply for an e- Visa online at https://visa.immigration.go.tz/ , or get a visa on arrival at the airport. Tourist visa are typically valid for up to 90 days.
  • Return or onward tickets – travelers may be asked to show proof of a return or onward flight ticket upon entry.
  • Yellow fever certificate & COVID – 19 REQUIREMENTS – It is important If you are traveling from or transiting through a country with a  risk of yellow fever transmission. Vaccination or test certificate are no longer mandatory, but travellers are encouraged to be fully vaccinated. Health officials may conduct random temperature checks at entry points.
  • Children and minors– children traveling with one parent or guardian may be asked for a consent letter from the other parent.
