Saadani National Park has lots of Marine life as well as Wild animals in large numbers. Saadani National Park is located alongside the coast of the Indian Ocean, saadani was officially made a National Park from the former Saadani game reserve in 2005.
Saadani is one of the fewer breeding sites for the endangered Green jece, turtles and the only Tanzanian pare that protects the mangrove forest. The Mangrove Forest in this unique pare has lots of rare species of black and white colobus Monkeys.
The Saadani National Park governance and management approaches have been unable to gain the support of the neighboring villagers which have been traditionally very conservation minded, for addressing the poaching and for collaborating on sustainable landscape level conservation efforts.
The park has an Eastern African coastal climate with bimodal rainfall which ranges from 800-1200mm annually
The best time to visit Saadani National Park is during dry season and that is from February to July because they are months with peak temperatures. Though wet seasons are from March to June and October to December, Saadani National Park is always welcomingly attractive all year round.
