Overview

Unguja Island, commonly referred to simply as Zanzibar, is the largest island in the Zanzibar Archipelago, located off the eastern coast of Tanzania. Unguja is approximately 1,650 square kilometers (637 square miles).Characterized by sandy beaches, coral reefs, and a generally flat landscape, with some inland hills. Is a melting pot of cultures, including African, Arab, Indian, and European influences. Swahili is the primary language, with English also widely spoken, especially in tourist areas. Best time to visit

The best time to visit Unguja Island (Zanzibar) generally falls into two main periods:

June to October (Dry Season)

This is the cooler and drier season, with less humidity and minimal rainfall. Average temperatures range from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F).deal for beach activities, water sports, and exploring Stone Town without the distraction of rain.

December to February (Short Dry Season)

 Another dry period, but temperatures can be hotter and more humid. Great for beachgoers and tourists looking to enjoy the sun and various outdoor activities.
